On a lunch time excursion to the land of cost and company, I began the search for the oh so small allowed foods on the new diet. As I strolled the isles near the deli and Snagged a sample or two, I came across these delicious little precooked strips of youthful chicken breasts. Those compiled with some organic greens and a dash of mustard now comprise my lunchtime eats. I have yet to try the other two available flavors, but the plain grilled variety are quite tasty for being a precooked lunch meat variety chicken.

Mighty tasty-looking Foster chicken things ... I wonder if Costco still carries those, I'll look for them at the Canoga Park store.
If I grab those plus a 3lb. bag of mixed greens for $2.08 I got me a bunch of cheap, healthy meals.
Google led me here, it's an interesting website, I just joined Costco(gsm) and it's so derned addictive i was hoping to find an online list of costco store items that includes prices -- that would help me plan my next costco shopping venture.
Cheers,
C
Great tip! Thanks C.
I wish I had more help on this site, but this is what I've got for now. Thanks for dropping by!
Found the Foster chicken strips 2lbs., $9.99
I passed on those only because I'm watching the pennies -- I'm in serious miserly mode (starving artist).
In the frozen section I noticed Kirkland brand uncooked chicken breasts for $15.99, 6.5 lbs. I like the price there ... under $2.50 / lb but I passed on those too.
I was able to afford a hotdog ... and some Progresso soups. Today I eat.
Jimmy, I can imagine the site is a lot of work. I may be wrong but I assume there are a lot of people who would be interested in accessing a list of Costco's store items along with their prices. It's info that just isn't available anywhere -- Costco's website lists their online products but if you're like me you want to know what you should go ahead and buy at the supermarket and what items are cheaper at a Costco store.
If you see any value in putting together an excel list or something like that that shows warehouse items/prices and maybe even price per ounce then I'd be willing to help out some with the research there.
I may be wrong, maybe a simple text list with no pictures, and without an elaborate search feature wouldn't be all that useful to consumers. And maybe no one else is as anal or broke as I am. Dunno.
I'm sure there are lots of anal and broke people out there. A list of items and prices would be great, but the sheer amount of work into updating it may be too much. Like you, I'm in the arts industry, but busy enough to not have the time to update it. I'm not sure how we could get it work, honestly.
yep, it would be a ridiculously big list. I guess I was only thinking of the items that i would be interested in but a personalized list like that would only be useful to maybe 2% of costco's customers. Wasn't thinking.
unrelated -- it seems that the big savings to be had by shopping at costco are on the items that people rarely buy ... cooking spices and car tires, for example, although i'm seeing online tire ads that look pretty competitive with Costco's.
Seems that costco has a harder time offering up savings on the commodities that people buy frequently, for example canned soda, gum. Cheaper for me to buy those items with with my supermarket club card.
